Dawn, a Lagrange Ga native, attended Terry College’s Tull School of Accounting. Graduating Cum Laude with a BBA degree in Accounting, Dawn was given the tools necessary to thrive anywhere in the accounting industry.

She landed her first job at KPMG Atlanta in the Audit group where she completed the requirements early on for her CPA license. Her time there gave her experience across every facet of some of the largest businesses in Atlanta and exposed her to many diverse industries.
After a stint as a manager in the SEC Reporting group for Bellsouth, she spent time working contract for an array of companies and ultimately committed to a CFO position at a large multi- location Optometry practice in South Atlanta. In her role as CFO, she was plugged into every aspect of the business. From helping the practice grow by acquisition to managing the cash flow and treasury functions, she was an integral in the running this large business.

After many years of working in the private sector, Dawn decided to join with fellow CPAs and with the help of family and friends, she co-founded Main Street CPAs. Her goal was to provide exceptional service with a “Main Street” feel. This collaboration allows her to create a next generation work culture to match that service.

Over the years, Dawn and her husband Will, have loved raising three daughters and enjoy most recently seeing them find their own path and flourish. When she is not working, you will most likely find her with her family and friends enjoying time at the lake.

Elvie started her 20-year career in accounting by earning a BS degree in Business Administration. She took time out of her busy schedule to become a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and Enrolled Agent, which is the highest credential the IRS awards.

Elvie began her journey by working at The Medical Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where she honed her skills and passion for financial and accounting matters. Recently, she has worked with several accounting firms and assisted with on-boarding clients, data migration and managing client relationships.

Elvie’s specialization in QuickBooks allows her to participate not only in the startup of new business but also assist in training and mentoring new users. Her dedication to providing personalized solutions and her knack for simplifying complex QuickBooks transactions make her a valuable asset to her clients.

In 2024, she fulfilled her goal of becoming a Partner and co-founded Main Street CPAs. This new platform allows her to better serve her clients and provide them with a best-in-class experience.

Outside of her professional life, Elvie is married with two daughters. She is very active in her church community and enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughters.

Meredith, an accomplished accounting professional with over a decade of experience in both public and private accounting sectors works directly with our accounting clients. Meredith graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from the University of West Georgia in 2006, where she developed her expertise in financial management and reporting. Her advanced skills in QuickBooks and bookkeeping ensure seamless financial processes and precise financial record-keeping.

Based in Newnan, GA, Meredith balances her professional career with an active role in her community. As treasurer of her son’s sports booster club, she uses her financial acumen to support local youth sports. In her spare time, Meredith enjoys family time with her husband John and their three children, singing in her church choir, visiting the beach, and cheering on her kids from the sidelines.

Thomas began his career in accounting as an administrative assistant at a CPA firm during his sophomore year of undergrad. While finishing his B.S. in Accounting from Clayton State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, he worked full-time and quickly progressed through the ranks. Following his undergraduate studies, he joined the tax team at the same firm, honing his expertise in small business taxation, with a focus on real estate. He continued his education at Georgia State University, obtaining his Master of Accountancy and graduating Summa Cum Laude, all while maintaining his full-time position.

Throughout his career, Thomas has become a trusted expert in real estate taxation. He’s been a member of the Fayette County Board of Realtors Affiliates and the Young Professional Network in Fayette County since 2022, where he provides invaluable assistance to both new and seasoned professionals. His commitment to helping others has made him a respected figure within the community.

Outside of his professional work, Thomas leads an active lifestyle, enjoying golf and baseball. He lives in Hogansville, GA, with his wife Alana. Thomas is also involved in community service, serving on the Pioneer Youth Board in Hogansville, which focuses on mentoring local youth in Troup County, GA.

Terry served as Executive Director of the Creative Arts Guild, Georgia’s oldest non-profit arts organization for a decade. Terry played a critical role in managing operations and guiding growth. Under her leadership, the Guild’s annual operating budget grew to $1,000,000 while coordinating a core staff of ten and overseeing 41 contractors.

In addition to daily operations, Terry worked with a 30-person board to develop short- and long-term strategic plans and supported budget creation. Terry was also responsible for fundraising through grant writing, special events, and donor management.

Terry’s background includes building and selling small businesses, forming public/private partnerships, and assisting with business communications and sales strategies. As a co-founder of Splash Media, a successful New Media firm, Terry was key in developing marketing plans, managing operations, and coordinating multimedia freelancers. This role also involved creating communication materials for a public company and assisting with its IPO conversion.

As part of the executive administrative team, Terry’s extensive experience in business management makes her a valuable addition to Main Street CPAs, bringing a unique blend of skills and expertise to support our continued growth and success.
